Sunset in the Park | Heart Lake Conservation Area

My brother and I decided to take our cameras and go shooting in the woods. Let me rephrase that. We wanted to take photos of the sunset in a open park or field. We drove around the countryside but unfortunately, it wasn't our fit. We then decided to visit Heart Lake Conservatory Park, which was close but to our luck, there were quite a few people still frolicking, riding their bikes and walking inside the park. Who says parks should be closed..it is a park after all! We found the perfect spot, which was up a hill and down a few flight of stairs where the water was still as..well water, and the sun was hitting directly at us. It was too perfect to be true. We then set up our tripods and snapped a few photos before we recorded the sunset in order to create a time-lapse. The weather was perfect, the sun was beautiful and there were barely any people, apart from a few friends of my brother who were enjoying the sun as well. I appreciate and long for days like these where you're able to escape from a fast-paced city life and bask in the peaceful and quiet natural surroundings that is right in our backyards.
