ALL IN THE DETAILS: No Pants, No Problem

If there’s one thing us girls tend to despise here and there, it’s wearing pants. There are definitely days where you give up on pants and want to sport an oversized T-shirt or sweater. Let’s be honest, it’s much easier to chuck on a chunky sweater with a pair of tights and call it a night. Not only can you pair it with colorful tights or leggings, but it’s also a great alternative to the typical dress.
This Fashionista is a perfect example of why the “no pants” phenomenon is ideal during the fall. She paired her maroon top with black knee-high socks, which provided her enough warmth on a typical fall day. Keep in mind, although it’s not freezing cold outside, it’s important to at least wear appropriate coverage underneath your top or sweater, such as shorts—it will be doing you a favor. To add on to the oversized theme in the outfit, this Fashionista rocked a mauve green parka jacket to seemingly blend in with the long top. The two colors, green and maroon, are a big trend during the fall and complement one another in an effortless way. This Fashionista also wore a heavy-knit scarf to pull the look together, adding a warm and cozy feel to the trendy outfit. We can’t forget about shoes! I’m a huge fan of simple black boots, whether they are ankle booties, combat boots or cutout boots. This Fashionista chose black booties with a touch of embellishment, which made her outfit that much more rocking and stylish.
How To: There are many ways to create an outfit without adding the component of pants and yet still remain warm during the colder days. If you’re ever feeling uncomfortable and shy about rocking the “no pants” style, a great way to squeeze in some confidence is by pairing tights with an oversized top or sweater that is just above the knees. That way, you won’t draw as much attention but still remain comfortable and not to mention cute. If there is one rule of what not to do when trying a look like this, I have only four words: beware of the bum.
